Tour of Berlin and Lunch

If you only have one day or a few hours on dry land and you want to see Berlin before getting back on your cruise ship then our bus transfers are ideal for you.

A day trip from the port of Warnemunde to the German capital city of Berlin takes about 3 hours each way in our comfortable coach buses. A guide can be provided to pick you up directly from your boat or you can also choose to have the guide meet you in Berlin. In both cases once you arrive in the city you will be brought to a traditional brewery/restaurant for lunch (please see the menus and pictures on the right) and then depending on how much time available before having to return to Warnemunde you can choose between a 2-, 3- or 4-hour tour of the city. The tour encompasses all the main sights and brings the visitor through the amazing history of this historically significant part of northern Germany. By the end of the day you will understand the incredible influence Berlin has had on world history for over 200 years.

Additional Information

Please note a transfer from Warnemunde to Berlin and back takes approx. 3 hours each way. For lunch you should calculate 2 hours. Therefore in example if you have 10 hours on the land, it allows for transfers, lunch and a 2-hour tour of Berlin.

If you would like the tour guide to accompany you for the entire day, you can book that at an additional charge of 480EU.

2-course menu: 20EU per person
3-course menu: 25EU per person
VIP 3-course menu: 30EU per person
VIP 4-course menu: 40EU per person

Please select just one set of courses from the chosen menu for your group. For vegetarians a vegetarian menu will be served.

The tour encompasses all of the main sights and covers the history starting from Imperial Prussia to the unification of the Germany nation in 1871, through to WWI and the fall of the monarchy, the Weimar Republic and 1920's in Berlin leading to the rise of the Nazis, the divided city and the cold war until finally on the 9th of November in 1989 the fall of the Berlin wall and one year later reunification of the German nation. Some of the sights on the tour include; the UNESCO World Heritage Site Musuem Island, the Pergamon Museum, the Berliner Dome, Unter den Linden, the book burning square, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie, Potsdamer Platz, the Berlin Wall, the former SS and Gestappo HQ, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Brandenburg Gate and Paris Square, the Tiergarten, the Victory Column, the Reichstag, and much more.
